102-Inch, 22,500-lb wall axles in combination with air ride suspension has been proven on hundreds of thousands of trailers. Combined with parallel spindles, both axles and bearing life are substantially increased. With hub-piloted wheels, maintenance time and cost are reduced. Clement’s Uni-Beam Construction

Clement’s super-strong uni-beam is composed of an 8-inch rear double l-beam, the trailer’s side sheets, and the headboard at the nose. This unit is then bolted to the subframe at the rear double l-beam, and the l-beams in the center and front of the trailer. The resulting structure has tremendous “strength-to-weight ratio”, eliminating the need for longitudinals and reducing trailer tare weight. finally, crossmembers of exclusive 4 x 5-inch “U-shaped” channel extrusions on 16-inch centers are added, lending support to the quarter-inch floor and completing a very strong body structure.

Put as much strength as possible in the foundation and the structure will be strong and it will last! That’s the Clement philosophy. Clement starts every trailer with 25,000-pound, 102-inch wide pro-par axles with parallel spindles that provide the proper surface for common inner and outer bearings. Bearing and axle life are both greatly increased. Hub-piloted wheels are the final ingredient. Hub-piloted wheels have no inner nuts and all nuts have right-hand threads, plus there are only ten nuts instead of the usual twenty. This reduces both maintenance time and costs. None of our competition has a stronger foundation than the one that’s standard on every Clement trailer.
